"Yoga to me is a lifestyle. It is like a key that unlocks life to its fullest potential. Allowing me to tap into my most vibrant, loving and fullest self. To share this gift with others is an absolute privilege and an honour." - Emma
Amy guides ' Gentle Flow' classes and 'Yin + Meditation' at the Birch Room.
Her classes are for all levels and include teachings of the Vedic philosophy and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Amy loves the balance between masculine and feminine energies and the connection to the breath in Flow classes, and the healing sensation during the experience of surrender in Yin yoga. In particular she loves how yoga has helped her to connect more deeply with her feminine nature.
Her classes are all about guiding you through your experience and journey on the mat, encouraging you to take the practice with you into your daily life.
"Yoga offers a great alternative to our fast paced culture, where doing is prioritised over being and feeling. It is a powerful tool that we can implement into our daily life, helping us find peace, calmness, clarity and a sense of trust within ourselves; giving ourselves permission to slow down and heal." - Amy
For the past decade Ally has been a devoted student of yoga and meditation and is now in her second year of teaching. Leading 'Flow' & 'Gentle Flow' classes at The Birch Room, Ally explores mindful movement with the practice of compassion interwoven throughout her sequences. Ally is deeply passionate about the opposing forces of yin and yang and loves exploring how they unite in order for one to move through life with sthira (steadiness) and sukha (ease) both on and off the mat.
Currently in the depths of a Meditation course, Ally looks forward to adding these teachings to her offerings at The Birch Room.
"As well as embodying a sense of yoga, or union, in my life, I am a great believer in nature’s ability to heal and restore us. I am constantly mesmerised by the power of connection with self and others and believe these elements are at the core of feeling well in your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies." - Ally
Brooke teaches traditional Mat Pilates at The Birch Room. Expect to feel the burn in her classes! Brooke has been teaching for 4 years and loves Pilates for the fact that it's a strong and full body workout that is extremely beneficial. It's low impact and an amazing way to strengthen the body as well as treat and prevent injuries.
"Feeling physically and mentally well and focussing on what makes me happy is essential for my well-being. I make sure I get exercise daily, eat well and spend time with my family and friends." - Brooke.
